Sublimation Printing Process
SUBLIMATION PRINTING EXPLAINED - Sublimation is the method of applying
an image to specially coated materials or substrates, using three main
ingredients: sublimation ink, heat and pressure. The dye is a unique mix
of chemicals that are designed to give off brilliant colours. Before the
dye is heated the colours are very dull. Under intense heat and pressure
the dye will reveal brilliant stunning colours. It will also permanently
fix the ink which will not fade, crack, peel or discolour. The
Sublimation process dyes the fabric with colour, which helps maintain a
fabrics ability to breathe and let moisture through. Because our process
dyes the threads of the fabric, there is no peeling, flaking or
noticeable colour change. For high quality printing on breathable
fabric, sublimation can't be beat.
